Our goal is to find loving, life-time homes for our rottweilers. All rottweilers available for adoption have been altered and vaccinated. We home-foster our rottweilers to ensure that they are sound, gentle, good-natured pets. We work on housebreaking and some basic obedience skills. And, they come with a lifetime guarantee, if at any time, for any reason, an adoption does not work out, you may bring the animal back. Visage is from Champion lines, sired by Ch Igor vom Waldbachgraben, dam is Verry von der Waldachquelle, DOB 9/13/96. Visage is an adult female, housebroken, crate-trained, obedience trained in 3 languages, okay with older children and in very good health. Her owners moved to France. Natalie is a very sweet girl with lots of kisses to give! This 4 year old female sadly was bred each time she came into heat, with no less than 10 puppies at each birth. She is now safely in our rescue, spayed of course. She is housebroken and has lived with older children. Bella is about 15 or so months. Temperament doesn’t get any better than this: loves children, has lived with babies through teenagers, is currently living with two cats, housebroken, crate trained, LOVES to ride in the car, loves to play with other dogs. Charles is about two years old. He was found running on the street in South Los Angeles, but this is no street dog. He’s obedient, neutered and was definitely someone’s housedog. Very good looking, well-balanced body, healthy dog. Very sweet and people oriented. Likes to bark in the kennel, but doesn’t seem to be dog aggressive. Molly is about 2 ½ to 3 years old, in excellent condition. She was a housedog, loves kids and is good with other dogs, has super-high ball drive, and is very affectionate. Midge is only a year old, and a small to medium sized female. Loves kids, has no training, is good with other dogs and has a nice healthy coat. She’ll be a bit of work at first, but well worth the time.

George is a six month old male pup. He was given up because he was shy as a puppy. He’s been handled and worked with extensively here in Rescue, and is definitely no longer a shy dog! He does seem to have some sound sensitivity, but is very workable with. He’s not a macho dog, just a lunk of puppy love. Needs a gentle hand. Elan is a 6 year old sweet female from champion lines who now needs a loving home to live out her years. Her Sire is Ch Von der Lors Braxx Nelson and her Dam is: Mirka vom Junggesellental. She is good with other dogs, loves adults, and is housebroken. Elan is obedience trained in German and English. OFA Excellent, elbows normal. DOB: 2/24/02. Sire: Pilor vom Steinbackland-mail, OFA excellent, Dam: Aziza von Ashford V2, V4, OFA excellent. We've been told that this dog is from strong working lines and we figure that's the truth because the dam produced this pup at the age of 9.5 years!! Wooddy is a very sweet, high energy dog who knows basic obedience. He would do best as an only dog, or in a rottie experienced home. We do get puppies once in a while; if you wish to adopt a puppy, and don't mind waiting (we can't predict when we will have puppies), please fill out our online adoption application and if approved, we will put you on the waiting list.
If the reason you must give up your rottweiler is because you are having problems finding a place to move that will accept dogs we encourage you to try Pets and People Homefinders We are not affiliated with this organization but understand that they maintain a listing of pet-friendly rentals within Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
In addition to the rottweilers we have available for adoption, we are also happy to provide a referral service for people who, for one reason or another, are forced to give up their pets. Since these dogs are not with us we have not personally provided their veterinary care but can share with you the information we have been given by their current owners.

Abby is a female Rottweiler born on June 29, 1998. She needs a person willing to help her get a little weight off but she is a loving girl, who will reward those efforts with many more years of great companionship. ROXY is a Rottweiler, and her birthday is 11/4/00. She has her tail intact and it’s a lovely tail. Angel is a beautiful 2 yr old spayed female, current on shots. She is an athlete that will need to be with a jogger or a hiker that keeps active. She has had some training and is working on manners. Shadow is approx. 2 years old, spayed, and is a super dog with a great temperament. She knows most of her basic commands and is a little stubborn at times as all Rotties are. Joey is a sweet 2 year old male, who loves to sit in your lap, likes other dogs close up (from a distance he pretends to be aggressive, then up close he becomes submissive), is housebroken, and has had all his shots. Reno is a 3 yr old, half American, half German rottie, whose owner is moving and cannot take Reno with her. Reno likes people (and lots of attention!) but doesn't always get along with other dogs. Quilla is a very lovely 3 year German bred rottie female with an incredibly great attitude despite being shot by the neighbors when she was just a pup. That un-neighborly horrid abuse cost Quilla her front leg, but she gets along very well without it. Quilla is very sweet, loves everyone, has been raised with children and others, and has basic obedience. Quilla loves to go for car rides, loves to play ball, and enjoys walks, but obviously isn't a marathon runner, so a home with a quiet lifestyle would be best for Quilla. Quilla's family is in a bind, and would like to find her a wonderful loving home. QUILLA UPDATE: Quilla has been adopted by a wonderful home in California! And through the perseverance and assistance of a guardian angel in Utah and a "can't be thanked enough" person who drove her back to California, Quilla made her way from Colorado (she was at the Nationals!) to California and is now at her new home, being smothered in love and kisses!

Mia was saved from death row at the local shelter. She initially was hand shy, which made us think that maybe her previous owners had beaten her, but she has now gotten comfortable around people and riding in cars. Mia would do best with someone that is home during the day or a retired couple. Mia gets along well with other dogs but doesn't seem to know how to play when taken to the dog park. Buffy is a 3 year old, spayed female who is a very good-natured, playful dog. She gets along very well with other dogs and kids. DUKE is a neutered large 4 year old rottie male. Duke is a very friendly dog who LOVES to play "chase balls" and to be petted. He loves people and other pets. Due to a relocation his owner is sadly unable to keep him. If you would like to adopt Duke, please fill in our online adoption application.
Ben and Zoey were found lying in their current caretaker's front lawn, bony and dirty. They were most likely used as a breeding pair, but they don't have to worry about that now, as they are neutered and spayed and up to date on their shots! They like to ride in the car and Ben is quite the gentleman at the vets, getting compliments from other people on his exemplary behavior. They are not destructive and love to be brushed, even though at first they didn't know what a brush was, or even a milkbone! Ben will lay on his side and allow his toes to be massaged a little and his belly brushed. Zoey loves to lay in a lap while she is brushed. They are both sweathearts and love attention, but are unknown around children. We would like to place these dogs together, as they howl if separated. Moon (originally known as Rosie) was blind from birth. Her first guardians kept her in isolation in the backyard of their home, away from their other dogs and away from human contact. They thought she was too nervous and "jumpy". Rottweiler Rescue, along with The Paw'd Squad Animal Rescue found a wonderful home for Moon in Placerville, California. Tiffany has another blind Rottie and was willing to take Moon into her home and heart. Well, blindness wasn't all that afflicted this poor dog and on Christmas Eve Day, 2001, Moon died from a brain seizure. The last year of her life was the happiest...she was only 3 years old.
Thank you Tiffany and Boom (Moon's Rottie pal) for giving Moon the best year of her life. She died loved and surrounded by her friends.
